With Valentine’s Day being a short two weeks away, I figured I’d put together some different outfits to help inspire your Valentine’s Day look. I was shopping online like I do almost every day and bought a few different things from The Pink Lily Boutique. Their clothing is always affordable and trendy, so it was pretty easy to put these looks together. Initially I was going to have four looks total, two dressy going out looks, and two staying home chill vibes. But when I got everything in the mail, only two things fit right lol. So, I’ll show how I styled those two pieces that fit, and I’ll show the other pieces that I ordered that didn’t work but are so cute!
In general, people’s Valentine’s Day plans include some sort of celebration with food, whether it be an at home fancy dinner or reservations at the finest restaurant. With those settings, dressier apparel is needed and these two outfits could easily come in handy.
Of the two dressy looks, this one is my favorite because it is SO chic. This satin dress is so classy yet so comfortable. It has a subtle cheetah print throughout the dress, which in my opinion makes it more fun and elevates the dress altogether. It has an elastic waistband in the middle, which allows for a lot of stretch and comfort. I am wearing the mauve color, but it also comes in pink and turquoise. It has a tie at the neckline that you could either tie up or leave open, and the length is perfect. I am 5’2 and wearing the medium, and it hits right above my knee. As far as styling goes, I paired it with copper booties, but white booties or nude heels would be just as cute. If you style it with white shoes, I would pair it with silver jewelry, and if you’re wearing nude, copper, or tan shoes, then gold jewelry would be your best bet. Aside from Valentine’s Day, this would be the perfect wedding guest dress, and its only $44.
This next dress is also stunning, but a better option for those who like to keep a classic look. Its completely solid without any sort of print or texture variation, however it has a pretty low cut neckline, but you could always pin it if that’s something you’re hesitant about. As far as the fit goes, I would not recommend buying this dress if you’re bigger in the hips. I normally wear a medium in dresses and a 6/8 in pants to give a reference for size. I bought this dress in a medium and I could not get it over my hips at all. The lining of the dress is similar to a linen material, so there is no stretch to it at all. Though this dress did not work for me, its a very cute and affordable option; its only $44 and also comes in navy if pink isn’t your vibe.
Now for the loungewear. If your Valentine’s Day plans don’t include dressing up and going out, but rather pizza and a movie at home, then these two outfits will bring all the comfortable vibes needed. This first outfit is one that did end up working out for me, and I didn’t have to return anything. I got this sweatshirt from The Pink Lily Boutique and it is darling! Cheetah print is still trending, and I have a feeling it will continue to be for awhile. The pink cheetah print on this pullover is perfect for Valentine’s Day, and will be easy to carry into spring and summer. This sweatshirt is incredibly soft in the inside and out. It runs true to size, and I am in the medium. To keep the look casual and comfortable, I paired it with my Spanx leather leggings, and dainty jewelry. With it only being $44, its a very affordable and versatile purchase.
The last thing I bought for a casual look were these pink workout leggings. They were so comfortable, but I had to return them because they were too long for my 5’2 self. Though, if you do end up buying these, they run true to size. I had the medium, and they fit like a true medium; they’re just not short girl friendly. As far as styling goes, a plain white tshirt or a graphic tshirt and white tennis shoes would be adorable. These leggings are only $30 and a matching sports bra is sold separately; definitely worth the buy!
All of these looks are linked on the shop tab of my blog. Happy Valentine’s Day loves!
