Of course Christmas is my favorite holiday, but my second favorite has probably got to be the 25th of June; the halfway point till Christmas! Now I know it’s not a common holiday, and little to no people celebrate it besides myself, but it’s something I look forward to every year – and this year is no different.
Today I’m spending the day blasting Christmas music and perfecting my cookie baking game before Santa comes to town in six months. I find baking to be really therapeutic, and whipping up a batch of classic chocolate chip cookies puts me in the ultimate holiday spirit. These cookies are a staple in my family, and it reminds me of all the baking my mom does during the holidays (she is the best!). Our “secret” recipe is the one on the back of the Nestle Toll House chocolate chip bag haha, they are the BEST – I typed out the recipe down below!
Taking today pretty easily, might end up trying to find a cheesy Christmas movie on Netflix. But until then, catch me eating all of these cookies and playing “Santa Claus is Coming to Town” on REPEAT! Merry Christmas!!
